Ken Jones Begins 80th Year in Business

Happy New Year 2018!

As we ring in 2018, it is a great time to reflect back on the previous year before focusing our attention to new events and changes to come.

Ken Jones Tires begins it’s 80th year in business in 2018- quite an accomplishment for any organization and a milestone we do not take lightly. We are a third generation, family owned business operating in a time when “mom and pop shops” face fierce competition from the big giant corporations- both online and offline.

Founded in 1938 by my grandfather, Ken Jones

Looking back at the history of Ken Jones Tires, we must start with the principles it was founded on, by my grandfather, Ken Jones. Honesty, hard work and putting our customers first are the pillars this company was founded on and continue to be our mission. He began his business just before World War II, and the fact that his business was able to survive during such trying times, shows the commitment he had for success.

Today’s business world is very different from 1938, when business was done face-to-face with a handshake. Now, we have customers contacting us via live chat, emails, website forms and through social media- very different from how we started out! But that same commitment to working hard for our customers still stands and will continue to set us apart from our competition.
